Dj Mary Flavors ( Maria Curcic ) has been djing since 1984! Her djing started at the Banke nightclub in Calgary AB.Later she went on to dj at BBX nightclub, The Warehouse (One of the FIRST doing 80’s retro parties in 1991- Once a month for 3 years) ,The Parkside ( dj for one year) ,Mescaleros ( 3 days a week, for 7 years),The Living Room ( One night a week for 2 years) , Brava Bistro ( 7 years, once a week, plus 7 years of New Year eve events) , The Calgary Opera ( Opening gala dj , Grave Gala for 8 years , California Wine Fair for 8 years) and others.
Her passion for music led her to produce a show in 1985 on CJWS in Calgary for over a year, a program which ran Saturday nights called “up for clubbing” with her partner at the time Oliver who started the REPUBLIC nightclub. Since then she was addicted and djing became her life. Once a year she produces her own events, always including her DJ work somewhere.
Clients include : Sheri_D Wilson, Kris Demeanor, One Yellow Rabbit ( Radio Radio was part of High Performance rodeo in 2006 ) , The Banff Center, Alberta University of the Arts , Audi, FFWD , Calgary Jazz festival ( Opened for Do Make Say Think ) , Calgary film commmission, Stikeman Elliott, The Calgary Opera, Brava Bistro lounge, The Living room, The Glenbow Museum, Eaton Center, Red Point Media, Direct Energy, Art Gallery Of Calgary, Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra for Ward 9 fundraiser, Mike Smith ( decathlete) and many others as well as private home parties for wine tastings.
She is an artist and her music reflects all that she does.
